It's common knowledge, the best music on the planet is, music that isn't created for the purpose of radio play. Listen to M.T. Bag. Some songs are radio worthy, that's a coincidence. We don't ever get in the studio like, "This is about to be a radio joint, right here." Not the goal. The look at these albums made by people who care about the sound, not the renown.
Revolutionary Volume 1--Immortal Technique. Immortal could've been mainstream years ago, but he refused to sign a contract if it meant he had to sacrifice his style. This proves to you it's not always about the money. This is one of the best underground albums I've ever heard, so much so, I went out and bought it. He's like the only artist with words on politics that I'm willing to listen to. His delivery makes it so not boring. I think he shouted us out with his third album, Third World.
Monkey Business--Black Eyed Peas. Don't lie, you love this album too. "Humps", you were singing it too. "Don't Lie", "Like That", it's all there. I don't know shit about either member of the group, but when they drop, it's ALWAYS good music. Keep it up, kiddos.
4,5,6--Kool G Rap. Easily THE best gangster album ever created. Back in the day when selling records wasn't a priority. This goes in my category of albums you don't push fast forward once on. It's just meant to be played front to back. GOLDEN.
I'm out. Listening to M.T. Bag: "Only A Feeling", it warps in and out, that's why I don't listen to it.
