Holiday Heart--Starring Ving Rhames and Alfre Woodard. I dig this movie because Ving and Alfre play what they play BEST here. A homosexual and a drug addict. If you aren't familiar with this film, Rhames is a drag queen who saves a woman and her daughter from an abusive boyfriend. Over the course of the movie, Alfre's character slowly falls back into her bad habits and Rhames is left to fix her up while raising her daughter, Nikki. All and all, it's a good ass film.
The Color Purple--Starring Whoopi Goldberg and Danny Glover. This is the illest movie with black folks ever. Roots was TOOOOOO long. I like how the characters grow older and change up over the course of the film. My family quotes this movie a lot for comedy purposes. There's this scene where Mister(Glover) is trying to prepare a meal for his girl, Suge Avery, but he doesn't know how to cook. He yells at Celie(Goldberg), like:"You can't even keep an oven hot. Maybe if you USE IT sometimes!" The way he says it is classic. The same scene he's like, "Where's the butter?" Celie says, "In the cooler, on the shelf." He's like, "Butter. BUTTER!"
Money Talks--Starring Chris Tucker and Charlie Sheen. This is one movie that NEVER stops being funny. With supporting acting from Paul Cicero and the coldest white girl(in my opinion), Heather Locklear, this movie is too ill. Charlie Sheen, a news reporter, busts Chris Tucker's Car Wash front. Tucker is sent to jail and on the bus ride there, he becomes involved with a French man's escape. Wanted for murder, Tucker, coerces Sheen to help him clear his name and obtain French diamonds. I could watch this movie twice in a row and not be tired of it.
Friday--Starring Ice Cube and Chris Tucker. I could watch this movie for the rest of my life. It remains to be THEE best Friday of the series, but a lot of whipper-snappers don't know that. Smoky(Tucker) plays a drug dealer/stoner who smokes the supply that he is supposed to sell. The man he works for, Big Worm(Faison Love), threatens to kill him if he doesn't pay him back his lost profits. Smoky gets Craig(Cube) involved by smoking the weed with him. The two are in a jam and you know where it goes from there. With acting by the beautiful, Nia Long, this flick is too(two) classic, like ten mics.
Hard Candy--Starring Ellen Page and Patrick Wilson. Patrick plays a photographer who Ellen accuses of pedophelia and murder. Ellen poses as a young model who is interested in having pictures done. They meet up and she has him take her to his house. She spikes his drink and he takes some photos. He wakes up tied up and she begins to interrogate and torture him. You'd have to see it to know what else happens, dig it?
The Breakfast Club--Starring Emilio Estevez and Molly Ringwald. Five high schoolers get Saturday school and must spend it in the library of their school. The teenagers are from different social classes and they eventually click. You have your Jock, your Popular Girl, your Rough Neck, your Gothic Chick, and your Nerd. In a nutshell, they smoke weed and confess why they are in detention. It's an ill as movie, for, 99% of the film takes place in the library.
Weird Science--Starring Kelly LeBrock and Ilan Mitchell Smith. Gary(Anthony Michael Hall) and Wyatt(Ilan Mitchell Smith) are two unpopular nerds who can't get girlfriends. They get made fun of ad pushed around. One night, Gary while watching Frankenstein at Wyatt's house, suggest they create a woman on his computer. They come up with some hair-brained method to create the perfect girlfriend. To their surprise, it REALLY works. Kelly LeBrock plays Lisa, their play thing. She inpsires the boys to find confidence and get what they want.
GoodFellas--Starring Ray Liotta and Robert DeNiro. Ray Liotta plays Henry. the movie starts in the 1950s. In order to support himself and his family, he runs small errands for the Mafia. As he grows up, he remains in the life. Selling drugs, whacking people, and eventually snitches on all his n!99@$.
Single White Female--Starring Bridget Fonda and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Fonda plays a woman looking for a roommate. Jennifer comes through and appears as a normal person. As the movie progresses, Jennifer gets crazier and crazier. She starts wearing Fonda's clothes and starts to sport her hairstyle. Jennifer sleeps with Fonda's boyfriend, he's led to believe it's her. She comes to his apartment while he's sleeping and starts giving him that "correct domicile, for about five minutes. Five minutes!"(INSIDER) She ends up killing him and then there's a showdown.
Unfaithful--Starring Diane Lane and Olivier Martinez. Diane plays the wife of a businessman(Richard Gere). She becomes unhapy with her life, staying at home. They have a son, the kid who played Dewey on Malcolm In The Middle. Anyway. One day, Diane fgoes grocery shopping and gets caught in a wind storm. She falls and knocks down Martinez's books, she gets a scraped knee. He takes her back to his apartment and games her up with his French-ness. Eventually, she comes back to see him and they do the "Mr.Nasty". Over and over and over and over again. Gere eventually finds out because the lies she tells him don't add up. Gere comes to see Martinez and it ends on some horrid shit. All I'ma say is, snow globe.
There you have it.
