It happens all the time, half hearted belief and the like.
Pursue your dreams, but have a back up plan.
What for? If your passion is your passion, shouldn't that guide you to the heights you wanna reach?
The upcoming debut of MTV's Taking The Stage further inspires me to accomplish my goal.
When M.T. Bag had a brief band meeting, Skeem mentioned how his own father didn't believe in his rap career. We get it all the time, but parents have reason to worry, they've seen all that we're gonna see.
The same treatment went down in my household at times. When I was growing up with Stuntman, it seemed as if cashing in on the talented kids, Joe Jackson style, was the way to go. My aunt always said I was too smart to be a rapper, I'm no rapper, I'm a musician now. My mom doesn't quite agree with my pursuit options, but she supports me for doing what I wanna do.
I'm not too sure what it's like at the Fauste or Boogie household, but there are parties they know that give us full support.
I know some young'n's that do thangs that aren't quite straight shot careers, so what do I tell them?
Originally, in February when I was on my 'do-what-the-fuck-I-wanna-do-mind-state', I would've told you "Quit school(do whatever it is you do)". Not the best advice, but I learned a lot over the time I've been out of school. For instance, well, I knew this already, but: NOTHING IS GUARANTEED.
That goes for tomorrow, your state of your current situation, et cetera. LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT. I think this is a great idiom to live by. See, not everyone strives to entertain and such. I always thought it was odd that some people actually wanted to do things like become Botanists, Marine Biologists, and all the other shits. That's what makes everyone different, and if that's their passion, so be it.
Also, you can't please everyone. Example: The Beatles are arguably the best band of all time, there are some cats who could care less for them.
The Most Thizzle Boys And Girls aim to please all, and with the ideas I got for Music On A CD, I think we may do that. I'm still working on this 1980s style beat where I plan on having the band sing, or sing-rap, on the track. The drums sound really 80s, but I need 80s synth sounds to complete it. There's gonna be a Spoken Word track, the fast rap track, a slow jam, shit, maybe I'll throw a Country jam on that bitch....ooh, ooh, and an Electonica jam! This CD is gonna be so much fun.
It's not gonna be a bunch of random songs on a CD, it's gonna be a classic, see me? So does that 12/20/2012 release date still stand, who knows, if that's how long it takes.
Remember, if you act, sing, rap, paint, or aspire to be a caterpillar, don't be ashamed, follow your dreams.
Thizzle, thizzle!
