Concept & Design

Ok. For starters: Taking The Stage is getting less live by the episode. Noted.

So a random blog topic popped into my head and as usual, we're rolling with it.

So, we're all familiar with the fact that Hip-Hop today is based around image more than it is the music. If your music sucks, then odds are, your image is THEE shit. If your music is the bomb, then the good image will follow up. Today, we're going to take a trip into the origins of a few music personalities. Image in red, origin in purple.
By now, the world should be accustomed to Pharrell's Billionaire Boys Club clothing line. At first glance, yes, that's a nice name for a clothing line. Sounds really exclusive and preppy. Affiliated with Ice Cream and such. In 1983, Joespeh Gamsky, founded a social club called The Billionaire Boys Club. He recruited boys who attended Harvard-Westlake School. The organization ran many schemes and accepted money from investors to support their lifestyles. When money ran low, Joseph turned to murder in 1984. Long story short, n!99@$ started snitching on each other and Gamsky defended himself in court. He became the first person to defend himself and not get the Death Penalty in California history.
Jim Jones, you know him from Dip Set. Jim Jones was a cult leader, known for leading a mass suicide. November 18, 1978, 909 people died in Jonestown after "drinking the Kool-Aid". Cyanide poisoning was the cause they say. No video was recovered, but audio footage was found by the FBI.
Slim Thug came out onto the scene claiming to be the Boss of All Bosses. Sorrell Booke portrayed the antagonist on the show, Dukes Of Hazzard. His name was J.D. Hogg, better known as "Boss" Hogg.

This is all I got for now. DON'T expect part two. Really.
