Albums 2 Look 4 In 2009

Kanye West- Good Ass Job


A few years ago he said his 4th album's title would be called "Good Ass Job", to complete the school series, dropping out, getting back in with Late Registration, and graduating. After you graduate, you're supposed to have that "Good Ass Job", but I guess love affairs come first with "808s & Heartbreak". Either way, I'm expecting a dope ass album in the '09 or '10, we'll see how it goes.

Jay-Z- The Blueprint 3


Jay-Z has been dropping albums every year from 1996-2004, he took a good year's hiatus before hitting the shelves with Kingdom Come in '06 and American Gangster in '07. I was kinda disappointed when The Blueprint 3 didn't drop in 2008, this means, 2009 HAS to see the release of the third entry. Thus far, I'm somewhat satisfied with "Jockin' Jay-Z" and "Swagga Like Us". I'm really looking forward to "Swagga Like Us Pt.2" with Andre 3000, Nas and Jeezy.

Dr.Dre- Detox

We've been waiting for the Doc's third album since 2004, it keeps getting pushed back. With the beats that I assume were going on Detox that he gave to Jay-Z, 50, and Busta, I'm glad he pushed it back. I'm getting impatient though, I know it'll be out, but when? That is the question...

Raekwon the Chef- Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2


Since 1995, The Chef has claimed he was going to release a sequel to his classic album...I can't rush this one because Only Built 4 Cuban Linx was a pretty good album, a classic must take time, I'm willing to wait as long as it takes for him to put the next one out. It's been rumored OB4CL2 will be out this March....my fingers aren't crossed...

Lupe Fiasco- LupE.N.D


It's tragic when such a talented artist wants to cut his own career short. We really have to see though. Remember when Jay-Z said he was going to stop rapping after Reasonable Doubt, and again after The Black Album? I'm not promising Lupe will come back, but if this album is as good as I expect it to be, let him do what he wants to do. Everywhere, Nowhere, and Down Here, the three discs names, I'm hyped for this one, but it won't be out until December 29, 2009, shit, put it out in 2010 why don't you?

Eminem- Relapse


I was informed sometime ago that the album was gonna be titled "King Mathers", I'm glad the title has changed, it sucked. I assumed after Encore in 2004, there was gonna be the fabled The Funeral in 2005, where Em would kill his alter-ego, Slim Shady...but after the death of Proof, the remarrying and redivorcing of Kim, and the weight gain, it looked pretty grim for Mr.Mathers. But, 50 says Em is back in shape and in the studio again. Hell yeah!

Asher Roth- The Greatest Hits of Asher Roth


Right now, the album is still untitled, but in XXL he said this is what he wanted the album to be called. I wish I had thought of an album title like this, it's the epitome of ASSHOLE! I love it! After The Green House Effect Mixtape, I am eagerly awaiting more material from Mr.Roth. "I Love College" is a mediocre song in my book, so, with the album already. Due March.

MF DOOM/Ghostface Killah- Swift and Changeable


I've been waiting on this since Face put out More Fish, a song, "Angels", had been leaked onto the Internet. I rather enjoy when DOOM and Face get together on a song, it's a bewildering array of lyricism. I don't know when they'll get back off their asses and put it out, but I'm still waiting.

Lil Wayne- Da Carter IV


Since the release of Tha Carter, Wayne said he was putting out 5 Carter albums and he'd be done. As of recently, he's been saying he's gonna an album with T-Pain, Lloyd, Juelz Santana and release an Auto-Tuned R&B album and he'll be done. There will be a Carter V, mark my words. Tha Carter was doodoo, Tha Carter II was decent, and Tha Carter III was shitty. He better redeem with Tha Carter III- The Rebirth. I don't know for sure if Tha Carter IV will be out in '09, but, it doesn't hurt to dream.

Child Rebel Soldiers


Lupe Fiasco(Child), Kanye West(Rebel) and Pharrell Williams(Solider). With their one and only song thus far, "Us Placers", these three show they have the ability to be a good super group. It's funny, I see M.T. Bag as CRS, Ghrim is Lupe, I'm Kanye, and Ace is Pharrell, the logic is flawless. Ghrim is known as the rapper, and only the rapper. I make beats and rap. Ace makes beats and raps and sings. It's all there. Anyway, their album is currently untitled, but is due for 2009.
