"You N!99@$ Rappin' 'Bout Blow Like It's A Fad"

Over the years we've had many emcees step behind the mic and discuss their tales of running the streets. If EVERYBODY'S hustling, I'd like to know who's buying....

This is gonna be like Ripley's Believe It Or Not...I state a rapper and tell you whether he's credible or full of it.

(Ricky Ro$$)

Breaking out on the scene with his radio smash hit, "Hustlin' ", Rick Ross' image was a tad hard to believe. "I know Pablo...Noriega, the real Noriega, he owe me a hundred favors." With an entire first album about selling weight, the average listener would fall into his junk. By album two, I was convinced, he's a good artist, but I still don't believe he's a drug dealer. Then they snooped in his business, look at it now. With his upcoming album, "Deeper Than Rap", I really wanna know, what he's gonna rap about....The same shit, he's got a track on it called, "Mafia Music". NOT!

The #1 guy today rapping about dealing....He was the first rapper to REALLY take us into The Trap, sorry, T.I., but through Jeezy's lyrics, I can really imagine "the life". On his song, "Dreamin' ", Jeezy raps about how his mother tried to smoke his supply...A black child knows better than to talk wrecklessly about his own mother. I don't think he would've said it if it wasn't true. BELIEVE IT!

Unlike most rappers, The Clipse don't make their living off of rapping about their drug past ALL THE TIME. You can still catch references to it, but the way they do it, I wouldn't care if they were frauds.

"Uhg... Handle the rock like non other
Wrist over the stove, head under the cubbard
In the kitchen 'til the fume make me feel smothered
The way it melt fiends can't believe its not butter"
- Pusha T

BELIEVE IT!

(Gucci Mane)

Well, sir. This one is kinda hard. I read an issue of XXL one time. There was an article about Gucci and his past. He got his name from his dad who also used to sell drugs, who went by the same name...I think. Anyway, all he raps about is bricks, chickens and crack...Do I believe him, no, but I think he has some ties to it....BELIEVE IT!

Jigga's past is highly disputed. "He ain't sell no drugs", some say...I don't know the guy, but answer this....Where else would he get Roc-A-Fella start up money in 1996?
BELIEVE IT!

(Cassidy The Hustla/The Problem)

I don't hear too much about drugs in his verses....A wise man stays tight lipped about what can incriminate him. However, he doesn't look rough enough to have been a drug dealer...He talks a lot of shit, he could've simply just been beaten up a lot on the block. Sorry. NOT!

(T.I.P or T.I)

I know a guy who knows some guys who know this guy. Word is, he did sell drugs, just not the heavy shit he raps about....He only made it as far as weed. By technicality, BELIEVE IT!

On this note, I'm gonna leave you with some good drug dealer anthems....

(Ghostface Killah Ft. Raekwon The Chef "Kilo")

(Young Jeezy "J.E.E.Z.Y")

(Field Mob Ft. Stat Quo "Come And See Me")

All these songs make drug dealing sound fun!
