Where Dey At (Long Gone Missin')

Hello world, this is Fauste the Chef and right about I am wondering where all the '03-'07 rappers who showed potential gone to. I recently read the latest issue of XXL magazine (props) and I was reading the section of the new class of '09. You know, rappers who "got next" so to speak and while this was all fine and dandy I wondered where did the ones go who gracing covers of magazines and talking 'bout working on their 3rd+ album. While many are eligible to be on this list, I will cover only a few or 3. Starting with: .........

Cassidy a.k.a "The Problem"-

This cat debuted back in '04 with the single "Hotel" and "Don't Get No Better" and was able to successfully go Gold. Okay, that's cool let's see if he can follow up. Following up quickly, or striking while the iron is hot, he comes out with the single "I'ma Hustla" and while he had another single, "B-Boy Stance" and the street single "On my grind", "I'ma Hustla" led Cassidy to a #1 hit and solidified another Gold effort. At this you thinking, "no biggie, the nigga's consistent".

In '07 he got in a car accident which almost killed him and stated that he planned on getting right back in the studio....If you know what I know, comeback albums are a sure fire way to guaran-damn-tee that you go Platinum, or at first Gold then slowly progress. But nah kid, "B.A.R.S." flopped harder than a Magikarp, with only 148,986 copies sold worldwide. Wow.

Last time I heard, he either got dropped or decided to go Indie with Amalgam Digital (shouts) to release his fourth solo album, "Apply Pressure". I feel for the homie Cassidy, he had so much potential and I feel that maybe signing with Swizz may not have been the right career choice so early, maybe later on. At first go solo dolo then affliate yaself under a sub-label.
(Come Back to the Majors kid.)
